Designer Jeweller and Goldmsith Charmian Ottaway has a studio and workshop in the heart of the beautiful city of York and is happy to recieve customers by appointment.

She discovered her love of fine jewellery whilst working for Cartier. This passion can be seen in the finest details of her beautiful and classically distinctive work.

Charmian specialises in commissioned work for both the private and corporate clients.Her most prestigious commission to date is a replica Richard 3rd Boar Brooch for Yorkshire Museum. Others include The Yorvik Centre and York Archaeological Trust. Private commissions include clients such as Dame Judy Dench to name but a few.

Her jewellery can also be seen in selected galleries and museums and are characterised by classic forms, mixed with influences from the ancient world of Greece and Rome. She particularly likes to work with high carat gold and pearls, however, many of her collections are made in silver with carefully selected precious and semi-precious stones.
